Responsibilities:
Researching registration rules and indirect tax remittance (VAT / GST / Sales Tax) in new countries.
Independently managing tax registration processes in foreign jurisdictions (forms, documentation, interaction with authorities).
Preparing and filing tax returns in compliance with local legislation (under the guidance of senior colleagues).
Monitoring sales thresholds (Thresholds / Nexus) to ensure timely registration.
Tracking changes in tax legislation (e.g., the introduction of digital services taxes).
Liaising with tax authorities and external consultants.
Verifying the accuracy of tax calculations and reconciling data.
Maintaining and storing tax documentation in line with international and local standards.
Requirements:
Practical experience in international taxation or accounting (fintech, e-commerce, or experience with companies operating in multiple foreign jurisdictions is a plus).
Deep understanding of VAT / Sales Tax, knowledge of Nexus and distance selling rules.
Experience in interacting with tax authorities of foreign countries.
Experience in filing tax returns in foreign jurisdictions.
Ability to find and analyze primary sources (government and ministry websites) and apply them in practice.
Strong proficiency in Excel.
English at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.

Lead negotiations — agree on terms, fees, collaboration models, and contingency plans

What we’re looking for:
2+ years of experience in fintech, payment systems, or banking
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to resolve complex cases
Understanding of bank structures, PSPs, and regulatory requirements — especially in EU, CIS, MENA, and APAC jurisdictions
Ability to work with legal documentation, lawyers, and AML departments
English — Upper-Intermediate (B2) or higher
Structured thinking, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple priorities at once
